At 'The Laser Lounge', your safety is our number one priority, that’s why before any IPL treatment can be carried out all new clients must attend an initial Skin Concern consultation. It is a legal requirement for all new clients to attend a consultation and to receive a patch test prior to any IPL Skin Rejuvenation treatment. The patch is there to ensure we can proceed with treatment safely, without any adverse reactions.
The consultation is also a great time for you to ask any questions and to discuss your desired outcomes. If you would like to book in for a consultation, just click the button below.
Before any IPL skin concern treatment can be performed, you will need to be assessed by our practitioner, so that we can identify whether you are a suitable candidate for your desired IPL Skin Rejuvenation Treatment.
The consultation appointment is the perfect opportunity for you to discuss your skin goals, so that we can determine which of our treatments would be best suited to you, to give you maximum results. Our consultations are always held face to face at our welcoming and inclusive clinic based in Newcastle-under-Lyme (near Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire)
During your consultation appointment you will be asked to fill in a consultation form and to state any medications you may be taking. The consultation form is there so we can assess your suitability for treatment and to ensure that we can proceed with treatment safely, and without interference. If you are taking medication, it is always advised that you check with your GP first, to ensure it is safe for you to proceed with any treatment.
Our practitioners are there to offer you the best advice possible within their knowledge, however we cannot medically diagnose skin concerns. Therefore, it is always best to consult with your GP, for a proper diagnosis, prior to treatment.
Our practitioner will talk you through exactly what to expect during your treatment and how to prepare for it. We will also discuss the potenital risks involved and to answer any questions you may have.
Once the patch test has been performed you will need to wait 1 week, to check for any adverse reactions, before booking in for your IPL Skin Rejuvenation appointment.
It is very important that you arrive to your consultation WITHOUT any real or fake tan in the area to be treated. It is advised that you do not apply fake tan for at least 10-14 days prior to treatment and to avoid sun exposure and sun beds for at least 4 weeks beforehand. You must allow your skin to return back to it's natural colour before booking in for treatment.
If possible, please arrive at your consultation with the area clean, and free from any make-up, moisturises, SPF, deodrants and perfumes.
Our practitioner will then be able to review the area, and will perform a small patch test, so that we can ensure you are suitable to receive treatment.
